This section is dedicated to our dogs who are not a part of the Excelsior ACDs breeding program, but still participate in sports and adventures with us. All of our dogs deserve the same love, attention and time in the limelight, and we are always happy to answer questions about any of them.

Tesla is a full littermate sister to our foundation female, Lacie. She is a people-loving sweetheart of a dog, though she did not turn out to be show-quality, and we decided to spay her. Tesla has a workaholic, highly biddable nature that makes her a great companion and house dog (even if her chaotic energy keeps us on our toes). Tesla loves FastCat and swimming, and enjoys any chance for livestock exposure. We love her sass and humor, and enjoy having her as part of our pack for day-to-day adventures.
CCD Wagner's Nerd FCAT DN, known and loved as "Drax"
Drax is a mixed breed boy who came from a backyard breeder, in the days before Marisa had the knowledge to find a reputable breeder...as the saying goes, "everybody starts somewhere". Drax is a homebody, affectionately nicknamed "cat-dog", and definitely the jokester of our crew. He primarily enjoys Disc, FastCat, and swimming for fun. He and Cash are very bonded, and tend to get up to mischief together. Drax is super affectionate, very much a mama's boy, and his soft personality makes him great with children. His gentle ways (and forgiving fur!) allow us to experiment with creative grooming and pet safe colors. His chill disposition makes him very easy to live with and love.

Cash came from a rescue, and is credited for being the dog who introduced Marisa to the world of dog sports. He is a very versatile dog who gives 100% of his heart to anything new that he tries, and his forgiving temperament and biddable attitude make for a fantastic sports dog. Cash primarily competes in Dock Diving, Disc, and Fast Cat, but has tried a multitude of other sports in his time. His commitment to competing with Marisa, combined with lots of TLC, helped him recover from a near-death foreign body surgery in 2021. He was the comeback kid in 2024 and was able to earn himself a trip to NADD Nationals in Springfield, MO. This special boy has nothing but eagerness to please, and so much love to give. We are so fortunate to have him around leading the way and schooling our young dogs and puppies.

Rowan originally was advertised for rehoming by a veterinarian, whom he was surrendered to as a 6wk old puppy due to unknown head trauma and resulting seizures. Thankfully he made a full recovery, and with Marisa's love and care, has grown into a phenomenal athlete and sports dog. Rowan actively competes in Flyball, Barn Hunt, and Fast Cat, and has dabbled in Agility, Dock Diving and Nosework. He is affectionately named the "spicy nugget" of our crew due to his loud opinions and sassy behavior, which have helped to mold Marisa into a better handler for him and future dogs/puppies in our program. With Rowan, every day is a new adventure, and he holds a special place in our pack and in our hearts.
